Fallacy of Natural Law

Natural Philosopher Expert
Pontificating on Natural Law

Every school person knows that America’s Constitution was founded on  natural law. But, what does that term mean? One definition of natural law states, “unwritten body of universal moral principles that underlie the ethical and legal norms by which human conduct is sometimes evaluated and governed. Natural law is often contrasted with positive law, which consists of the written rules and regulations enacted by government (Free Dictionary.).” This definition, as do many others, give the impression that natural law is not a unitary force but a competing force against positive law. I discussed the unnaturalness of natural law in a previous post (Unnaturalness of Natural Law.). Continue reading “Fallacy of Natural Law”

Churches Abdication to Psych’s Myths

Psych Industry Developed Science Answer
So-called Scientific Theory is Just Scientism

Before the publication of the Diagnostic Statistical Manual {DSM} 3rd edition, so-called psych issues were based on Freudian or Jungian or whomever was one’s favorite myth developer; however, this lack of a scientific approach brought ridicule from the medical community. To combat this, and gain some sort of respectability, the psych industry developed a scientific theory and diagnostic criteria on which to base their labeling of someone’s so-called abnormality. There is one major flaw. Science is the measurability and repeatability, empiricism, to validate, or invalidate, a hypothesis. Psych industry had no research to validate their brain-chemical imbalance; in other words, they sort of made it up. This remains the mainstay of the industry today: a tissue of myths. Embracing the Fire of Life

Medicine claims to unify the person
Yet its scientism of healthcare yields death

Man has always sought a solution for the physical manifestation of sin; i.e., illness. The Greek word for moral weakness can also refer to illness and disabilities {ἀσθενής; asthenēs}. Christ debunked the myth that illness, disabilities or even death were the direct result of one’s special sinfulness (Jo 9:1-7). Christ was constantly healing those He encountered demonstrating the link between illness and sin (Mt 9:1-8). It was a mark of His compassion and grace inherent in the coming New Covenant salvation. The development of healthcare grew out of Christians imitating the mercy of Christ toward those sick and injured. During the Enlightenment, man applied logic and scientific methodology to discover the cause and relief of illnesses which culminated in the Golden Age of Medicine in the mid 20th century. However, even in this golden age the forces of ignorance were counterattacking in the form of scientisms {Public Discourse. The Journal of the Witherspoon Institute. Blinded by Scientism.}; i.e., ignorance. Today, medical errors are the third largest cause of death in America {CNBC}. Continue reading “Embracing the Fire of Life”

Shelly: Prophetess of Scientism

Mary Shelly wrote Frankenstein novel
Blurring the lines between Science & Scientism

Near the beginning of the 19th century, Mary Shelly wrote a novel that began the horror and science fiction genre of literature; that novel was titled: Frankenstein. It began as a contest But evolved into a novel of immense importance. It gathered the swirling currents of curiosity concerning the relationship between electricity and life, between the dividing line between life and death. Whereas science is limited to empiricism, measurability and repeatability, scientism knows no boundaries. Spurred on by popular media, scientism enters the realm of popular acceptance and then begins to replace science as a mode of investigation into God’s Creation. In other words, scientism is the mechanism that replaces the God of Creation with the merging of science, fantasy and blasphemy to produce a type of patch-work beliefs not unlike the Prometheus monster in Mary Shelly’s novel. Welcome to today. Continue reading “Shelly: Prophetess of Scientism”

Moral Injury: Another Defense of Sin

New Terminology Quietly Making Inroads
Redirecting Responsibility for Sin Away from You

Moral injury is quietly making its way into popular culture after percolating in the scientism wings for twenty years or so. I actually heard this term used on Facebook equating burnout with moral injury. Curious, I did a quick study to grasp the basic concept only to discover this was not new after all. It was just a repackaging of an ancient concept: responsibility for sin belongs to whom? Continue reading “Moral Injury: Another Defense of Sin”

Science of Lies

Ancients believed space filled with ether
You were taught space is empty: Wrong

Turns out the ancients were right in concept but limited in technology. Space is not empty but for a few grains of occasional dust and a comet or two. The problem is that government and science knew this also, since early days of rocket exploration of space (Magnetosphere. Science Direct). The above graphic shows our solar system crossing our galaxy’s plane in our galactic orbit exposing us to a slew of forces invisible to the five senses. There is another secret: it is these slew of space forces {ether} that determines much of our weather. Shh! You are not suppose to know this! Continue reading “Science of Lies”

Science’s Feet of Clay and Iron

Sir Isaac Newton the Great Physicist
Was also the Father of Deism

I remember sitting in churches in my 30’s, as a relatively new believer, hearing how Christianity could lay claim to Sir Isaac Newton thus refuting the claim that believers in the Bible’s Gospel were birthed from an ignorant stock of idiots. Over the years I have come to doubt much of what I was taught in the fundamental Baptist movement which had a propensity for its own forms of propaganda over truth. Unfortunately, the truth of Sir Isaac Newton’s beliefs have come to light. He is probably the father of the Deism of the Enlightenment and today (Kollerstrom, N. The Dark Side of Isaac Newton. 2018. Pen and Sword History. Havertown, PA. pp.21-22.). Continue reading “Science’s Feet of Clay and Iron”

Eugenics: Rose By Any Name

Culmination of PseudoScience
and Enlightenment Philosophy

To understand the worldview of Western culture, especially American cultural “norms”, we must attempt to understand the world through their understanding; i.e., through their worldview. However, we must have a set starting point to ensure that we do not become disoriented; there is no better starting point than the Scriptures. Continue reading “Eugenics: Rose By Any Name”

Scientism – Killer of Billions

French Revolution 1789

French Revolution Epitomizes the
Contradictions of Scientism

Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712—1778), along with Descartes, were major Enlightenment philosophers. According to the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, “The major goal of Enlightenment thinkers was to give a foundation to philosophy that was independent of any particular tradition, culture, or religion: one that any rational person would accept.” Continue reading “Scientism – Killer of Billions”
