I struggled to understand why Christ appeared to commend the obviously crooked steward in this story while chastening believers supposedly for not using unrighteous mammon {elements of wealth and control} of this world (Lk 16:1-13). One of my foundational pillars of exegetical hermeneutics is when I do not understand the Bible I need to rethink my perspective rather than ignorantly interpret Scripture as I want to believe {eisegesis}. Not Discussing Religion and Politics is a Trap

Several people were bragging about how they avoided interpersonal conflict to achieve a wide circle of friends. They simply refused to discuss religion or politics; even going so far as to brag about not even watching the news to avoid any discussions that might lead to conflict. As these people patted each other on the back for their wisdom, they reminded me of hens who pecked the ground bare and congratulated each other on their thoroughness of creating dependence on the farmer for free food. Satan’s major effort is the continual Delusion of mankind keeping people from learning of the Gospel of eternal life in Christ (Ep 2:4-10). I will discuss the modern techniques and use modern examples discussing Satan’s processes. The usual interpretation of Original Sin revolves around the fallacy that God withheld knowledge from mankind whilst Satan, Prometheus, promised man the gift of knowledge to make man, and woman, equal with God. This is certainly coherent with a simplistic reading of the text Ge 2:17; 3:1-5, 22). This pits God against Man over Control of Knowledge. When Man attempts to obtain knowledge, God punishes all mankind with death; physical death now and eternal death later. From this mythology enters modern man with Enlightened Science which finally promises to free the Chosen Few from the bonds of death while they enter a glorious future of their making. The heroes of this myth are Plato, Aristotle, Galileo, Newton and Einstein which its fundamental villains are Bible believing Christians wallowing in superstitious ignorance trying to hold mankind back from their Star Trekian future; or Star Wars for the more Gnostic minded. The ancient peoples of the Axial Age did not have the techno knowledge that we have today but they were not without discernment. Without the distractions we of the “modern age” have, they were able to come close to understanding the Gospel truth.  When I use the word truth I do not mean a simple measure of honesty but a measure of understanding of absolute knowledge of both the metaphysical (spiritual) realm and its linkage to the physical (earthly) realm.
