Ouroboros Triad

Snake – Man
Tree of Knowledge

As I sat to write this final post of the Ouroboros Triad I had to step away for some reflection. The focus of many is on the tree. Was it an apple, a pomegranate, or was it something that had nothing to do with the type of tree at all?  The issue is not the tree, the issue was, and is, the knowledge of good and evil. Tree – Life & Knowledge

The ouroboros is an ancient symbol usually expressing what today would be considered the “circle of life”. The depiction expresses the concept that nothing more is needed other than one’s self. The dragon needs nothing other than itself and all within the circle it created it unified with it’s completeness. Continue reading “Ouroboros – Circle of Life or Death”

Truth of Life or Death

Orvieto, Exterior of the Duomo
The Bible Relief: Original Sin

The snake, or dragon for the Hebrew word does not differentiate between the two, are iconic in ancient and modern cultures. From the very ancient kingdoms to today’s Gnosticism, snakes present as symbols of power, life and spiritual attainment, usually. What does this mean to those who believe they live in a modern (without God) culture free from the superstitions of the past? Continue reading “Truth of Life or Death”

Enslavement at the Political Springs of Meribah

US Hat Money Fountain

America’s Spring of Meribah

The Hebrew people were slaves in Egypt for some significant time when God led them out of Egyptian slavery into the wilderness. Of the many things He would teach them in the wilderness, the earliest lessons involved the recognition that they were not worshiping Him but a god of their own choosing, a god who would meet their every whim, their every desire, without any responsibility or work on their part. In other words, they still had the slave mentality. The waters of Meribah, quarreling or rebellion, showed them, and us, that man really seeks a “santy claus” as god. Are we any different today? Failure of Reason – Governance by Fear

Goddess of Reason

Goddess of Reason
Age of Love

Since the Enlightenment period man has sought to prove that God is not necessary and does not exist. Philosophy of various flavors have only one unified goal: proving that man does not need a god. This brought forth a radical idea for a scientific or rational society. Continue reading “Failure of Reason – Governance by Fear”

I believe that the problem people are having with explaining their confusion in understanding the presidential primaries is their starting point. Let me explain; nearly all disagreements do not disagree as to the concrete facts but center on disputes about differing assumptions. American Politics in a Nutshell

Truth from Kierkegaard

American Politics in a Nutshell

I am amazed at the amount of confusion as to why certain presidential candidates are leading despite the obvious foolishness of their so-called positions. The Bible states {paraphrased} that in a democratic society people will elect people that tell them what they want to hear (2Ti 4:3-4). Continue reading “American Politics in a Nutshell”

Revolution or Enforced Mediocrity

Bell Curve

Gaussian or Bell Curve Thinking

Modern revolutions claim to promote individuality against the behemoth state hegemony; however, history does not support this claim. The French Revolution’s claim of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity was inherently contradictory since liberty for the individual was suppressed to promote equality of the group; or to put it more simply, mediocrity. The Myth of Tyranny

Guardian Angel Children

Guardian Angel of Gnosticism

The title is a double entendre designed to grab your attention. The modern definition of tyranny bears little resemblance to its origins. The modern definition of tyranny is, “arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; despotic abuse of authority.” However, this definition is not supported by history. Continue reading “The Myth of Tyranny”

Living the Rules or How to Fail

Ten Statements & Cross

Ten Statements Lead to the Cross

People view religion as a set of rules designed to keep people from having fun in order to please God, or at least their idea of God. However, the Bible does not teach living by rules. The Bible does give some rules but not as a means of pleasing God in order to get to “heaven”. So, how did nearly everyone miss the boat on this one? Continue reading “Living the Rules or How to Fail”
