Fallacy of Scientific Method as Proof of God {Anything};
Scientific Method Cannot Even Prove its Own Validity
The Lost, those not saved according to the Gospel of belief in Christ as the only way to be with God throughout eternity future, frequently demand proof that God exists (Ro 10:9-11). The atheists sneer that without proof there is no foundation on which to base the truth of God’s existence. They confidently point to the many, many accomplishments of Man using the Scientific Method that have no only improved daily life but have also given Man great insights into the heavens, into the atoms and even into man’s evolutionary development. Hence, they postulate that there is no need for God; ergo, He does not need to exist. This post looks briefly at their basic premise and three supporting so-called scientific proofs. I believe we will discover that they require greater faith to believe their position than the Christian needs to believe the Bible!
Science and the scientific method is empirical; i.e., it is limited by what is measurable and repeatable. This greatly limits the applicability of science to many aspects of daily life taken for granted. Science cannot define beauty in people or objects. Science cannot define right and wrong or moral and immoral. Science certainly cannot apply itself to that which is not measurable such as the soul of people or spirit of God and angels (Jn 4:23-24; He 1:14; 4:12). In fact, science cannot even define energy forms according to their essence; it must limit itself to measurable qualities alone (He 11:3).
Peter Kreeft, a Calvinist raised educator who later converted to Roman Catholicism and a scholar, observed that the scientific method cannot even validate itself as the only method of inquiry. Of course, his embracement of a works-based religion that rejects sola scriptura, sola fide, sola gratia, sola Christus and sola Deo gloria does not bode well for embracing biblical salvation via Christ’s blood atoning sacrifice for sin. However, his observation concerning the limitation of the scientific method are the more pertinent because of his background. A. J. Ayer, British positivist philosopher, believed that only empiricism was the basis for knowing; however, the truth of his belief could not be proved by his own philosophy! It is amazing that those elements modern man depends on to prove his knowledge superior to the Bible’s instruction not only are self-limiting but also self-defeating!

In the mid-1960s a radio telescope in New Jersey, near the Atlantic Ocean, claimed to measure residual radiation from the Universe’s Big Bang creation {The Cosmic Microwave Background. Lumen. Astronomy}. Suddenly, Man had proof that the Universe came into existence without God. Bible debunked; again. This scientific fact became the defect proof text against Christians and found its way into every science and science fiction show. The scientists could even model and predict when the universe would end at entropy! Except, there were a few dissidents but they were drowned out in the din of jubilant triumph. One such person was Herouni. You probably have not heard of him since he worked in the old Soviet Union. His differing measurements did not support any background cosmic radiation; in fact, he postulated that the original measurements did not measure cosmic energy at all. They were measuring noise from the nearby Atlantic Ocean! the Big Bang mythology so captivated scientists that they could not overcome their biases to determine if they could falsify or disprove the hypothesis! They violated their own philosophical scientific methodology. Strike One!
Einstein’s Relativity Theories Require Black Holes;
Black Holes Require Tremendous Faith for Belief
Sky Scholar, YouTube Channel, has produced a series of detailed, technical videos debunking several aspects of astrophysics. One of his favorite topics is the Black Hole mythologies. Black holes are supposed to be so dense that energy cannot escape; hence, black holes. The tremendous energies that are supposedly trapped by these dense bodies can warp space, time and gravity giving rise to science fiction’s worm holes for convenient intergalactic or even inter dimensional travel. The imagination simply boggles at the possibilities scientists present in computer graphic presentations. However, there is a problem. If no energy is escaping, not even light, then there is nothing that can be measured! There must be some empirical, physical phenomenon to measure for it to be science!. The common explanation is that these black holes cause nearby stars, systems, nebulas, whatever, to be effected; hence, this is how they know of these holes exist. Again, if no energy is escaping to measure then one cannot know what, if anything, is causing the effect you believe you observe. Not only is this circular reasoning but it is blatant confirmation bias! You observe something and believe it to be caused by a hidden, unmeasurable energy force simply because of belief…but it gets better! Strike Two!
Einstein’s Relativity Theories Needed a Particle;
Neutrino’s Were Discovered for Sub-Atomic Science
The Dissident Science, has produced a series of videos, YouTube, discussing the errors of the 20th century’s most famous theorist; except, his theories have been debunked by many scientists through the years. The use of sub-atomic colliders producing near light speed accelerations could not balance their Einstein derived equations. Either the theories were wrong or their measurements! Then, suddenly the equations were balanced! Scientists discovered a massless particle called the neutrino and everything worked. A Miracle! Notice a pattern here? Black holes that cannot be directly measured but inferred and not a subatomic particle that cannot be directly measured but inferred appears. Isaac Asimov wrote about the Ghost Neutrino but he was supporting its discovery. Again, neutrinos were used in programs and movies making their way into everyone’s vocabulary except, they were as fictional as the stories they supported. So, from creation to macro astrophysics to micro subatomic physics the scientific method adherents claim to have discovered how the universe works without any need for God. Hence, God does not exist. There is no need for proof of Him. Strike Three!

I could wax eloquent about how the natural man rejects God’s word because it is foolishness to him, and her (1Co 1:18-23; 2:14). They deliberately reject what may be known about God and substitute their own mythologies masquerading as truth; except, their myths are incoherent, inconsistent (Ro 1:18-28). Instead, I prefer to let their own definition of the scientific method testify against them.
The scientific method cannot prove truth, relative or absolute; by its own definition! Confirmatory experiments do not validate the hypothesis; they simply do not invalidate it. Yet, one falsifying experiment is enough to invalidate any hypothesis! Thus, their entire antiGod science can never prove their views are fact! They can live a thousand lifetimes obtaining positive confirmational data; however, one negative data point invalidates everything by their own definition! The Lost cling to nihilistic, incoherent worldviews built of innuendos and dreams requiring greater faith than the Christians they bitterly criticize!
And when Christ does appear as that one negative data; what then (Re 19:11-20)? Then they will face Him whom they rejected and their own deceptions will testify against them (Re 20:11-15). But, they already know this in their hearts. When calamities come they complain against God and seek to hide form His judgment rather than repent and turn to Him for mercy and salvation (Re 6:15-17). Yet, He stands and calls for those who may to come and be saved exhibiting mercy and compassion which the Lost despise (Re 3:20). Will you come and dine with Him for Eternity? He calls to you even now (Jn 3:16-21).
