Star Wars masterfully blended science and Hermeticism into Postmodern Western culture preparing people to accept Hegel’s Dialecticism in the guise of Critical Theory behind the facade of fictional sci-fi escapism. Obi-wan’s quote in Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, is quintessential Hermeticism as Perspectivism; “What I told you was true, from a certain point of view.” One can almost hear this flowing from Satan to Woman to Man legitimizing knowing apart from God to be as god(s) (Ge 3:5). This statement is true though it flows from a false premise; that one can know whatever one’s point of view. Indeed, question of Lost and Saved, True and False, Reality and Fantasy comes down to one’s starting knowing point. Understanding is not possible until one grasps this fundamental concept. Paul describes God as sending, or allowing, people to believe Satan’s strong delusion so they will believe what is not Truth; i.e., The Trinity is Truth (Jn 4:24; 14:6; 15:26; 2Th 2:9-12). But, this is not a new revelation for the Bible early on showed that people do what is right in their own eyes; that is, they do what they have decided is truth for them (De 12:8; Ju 17:6; 21:25). The Bible makes the case that to follow one’s own way as true is the mark of a fool rebelling against God (Pr 12:15; 21:20). One’s own imaginations is the mark of a child and according to Hollywood, especially Disney, adults should return to the mind of a child to embrace goodness (Ge 6:5; Pr 22:15; 1Co 13:11). In reality, this keeps one trapped in Satan’s ultimate delusion and labeling God as evil (Is 5:20; Mal 2:17; Jn 8:44). Postmodernism is not a new philosophy but an ancient lie begun with Original Sin in the Garden and continues without variance into our future (Ge 3:5). My last post, God’s Reality vs Sin’s Simulacrum, laid the logical framework revealed by Christ and the Bible. However, I also wrote that the appeal to logic must fail because logic flows from Scripture, “…come let us reason together…” (Is 1:18). People from the very outset are antichrist building their simulacrums, worldviews, rejecting Christ. Historically, people have appealed to works-based religions to justify why their understanding of events do not correlate with Recalcitrant Reality {See above article for detailed definitions}. Indeed, what historically has worked more effectively than logic-reason have been the logical fallacy of appeal to purpose and feelings. This post will seek to illustrate why this is more potent and why people demand enslavement under the guise of equality. Demanding the Lie over the Truth (2Th 2:3-12)

This post builds immediately on two previous posts {Understanding the Balaam-Jezebel Effect. How Churches and Nations Ruin Themselves Securing Security}. Whereas these posts looked at specific techniques used to undermine true faith in Christ, this post analyzes the overall plan of deception at work since Garden of Eden and Original Sin (Ge 3:1-8). Simulacrum simply means a copy of the original; however, Satan’s copy distorts God’s original Truth-Reality because sin (Ro 3:10-18). This is the Principle of Contrasting Dualities throughout the Bible highlighting the differences between Faith in Christ and Faith apart from Christ. I struggled to understand why Christ appeared to commend the obviously crooked steward in this story while chastening believers supposedly for not using unrighteous mammon {elements of wealth and control} of this world (Lk 16:1-13). One of my foundational pillars of exegetical hermeneutics is when I do not understand the Bible I need to rethink my perspective rather than ignorantly interpret Scripture as I want to believe {eisegesis}. D.W. Griffith’s, Birth of a Nation (1915), singlehandedly revived the Neo-Klu Klux Klan from the Whitehouse to the everyone’s house until the rise of the Civil Rights Movement in the late 1950s into the 1960s Western cultural revival. Hollywood has always been a propaganda mill to educate the masses in right-think. John begins his revealing of the vision received from Christ via a heavenly messenger, angel, by acknowledging Christ as the Faithful Witness above all other qualities. At first blush one may assume that Christ is faithfully transmitting the revelation He received from the Father and is giving to John. However, it is this type of narrowly focused thinking that gets readers confused when reading the Revelation of Christ. My mind wandered back to John’s Gospel, which I had studied a couple of years ago, and I realized that there was a much larger concept at work in this passage that transcended this apocalyptic revealing of Revelation. Commandments as Guidelines and Revealers of Sin:
Paul Wrote Commandments Reveal One’s Sin?!

For years I struggled to understand Paul’s statement, “Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin” (Ro 7:7). The first question that comes to mind has already been asked by Paul, “What then shall we say? That the law is sin?” He answers emphatically, “By no means!” However, Paul goes on to write that it was the giving of the command(s) that unmasked sin to bring death (Ro 7:8-9). But most confusing of all was Christ’s Sermon on the Mount explanation of several commandments appearing to negate the Law (Mt 5:17-30). One is left with the confusing choice that God lied in the Old Testament or is lying in the New Testament; and some agree that the entire Bible is a lie! Certainly, when approached from man’s perspective the Bible is very confusing because it was written from God’s perspective and can only be taught by God (1Co 2:12-14).
