Paul writes in Romans that “God gave them up” (Ro 1:24). In fact, Paul repeats this phrase three times meaning that God completely gave them up; but, who did God give up, why and what does this phrase even mean? The ouroboros is the ancient symbol of a snake, dragon, forming a circle by clasping its tail in its mouth. As the above graphic depicts, this symbol depicts all mankind unifying into a single body of belief through the commonalities of the various world religions that rely on works of the flesh for proof of man’s goodness and righteousness. It is the symbol of Gnosticism, the new faith of the coming False Prophet that will unite all mankind into receiving the prophet of the dragon, the Antichrist. What comes to your mind when you hear the word, propaganda? I was told the other day that it is only propaganda when it contains lies. The book of Job contains four false views of God based mainly on each person’s imagination. Job the pietistic, but lost religionist; Bildad the harsh legalistic moralist; Zophar the sarcastic scoffer; and Eliphaz the spiritualistic mystic. It is not until Elihu speaks that we discover Job’s true nature: sinful because he has condemned God rather than himself. God enters the scene instructing Job about his profound ignorance. This is when Job repents and experiences Old Testament salvation. This very first book penned is philosophical displaying man’s profound ignorance while wallowing in the mud of his knowledge (2Pe 2:20-22). Plato wrote his work, Republic, approximately 520 B.C. in which he described The Cave. People are regulated to look only at the back wall and the shadows being cast there. This formed their reality; however, the shadows were being cast by people behind them. Thus, their reality was actually illusion propagated by others. Somehow one can release one’s self and start the journey toward the mouth of the cave and true reality; coming into the sunlight. Neo, acronym for one, believed he would find choice if he could leave the Matrix. By becoming the One the Architect told him that his choice was already predetermined, even if by his own nature; thus, he still did not have choice. By dying he thought he was insuring choice for mankind’s survivors; however, they too were bound by their own natures. Thus, choice is always an illusion. This is the carrot of Lucifer, that the Lost have choice; unfortunately, the stick is that they have no choice for the things of God are rejected by their own natures as being foolish (1Co 2:14). My previous post discussed how philosophy sought to define truth since God’s truth had been rejected (Freedom to be Gods: Nihilism). Our conclusion: philosophy had been used to deceive the people; to hide the truth from them. This post looks at government as the sole purveyor of truth. It began with Cain, one who killed his brother. Cain became a ruler over those who rejected God {Nod: Wanderers} and built cities. Cities implies organization for labor and supplies; in addition, it also implies force to control those who are rebellious at heart {definition of sinners}(Ge 4:17-22). Government’s one constant is: Force. Cain’s descendants laid the foundations for all cultures: industry, agriculture, music, etc. Cain also laid the foundation for the violent spread of his civilization; his success threatened to destroy God’s people and coming Savior so God caused the Cataclysm {Flood} to reboot the world. In the beginning God taught man truth then allowed Lucifer to give man choice: God or be as gods. Man exchanged the truth of God for transitory fleshly pleasures and the dream of being as gods, apart from God. Sin entered the world. This quickly resulted in violence as man, Cain, made might over right his mantra by killing his weak brother, Abel. Cain then went to the land of Nod, wanderers from God, and established government to control sin and build a society without God. In the end government failed, man became increasingly more violent and God intervened before man destroyed himself, losing his only hope for salvation. With the Cataclysm {Flood} man was confronted with his absolute powerlessness: Noah needed God’s direction to build the ark and all others discovered they were not gods, and died. Welcome to freedom. I became acutely aware of how little people value rightness over happiness or pleasure. This is the essence of Utilitarianism; the philosophy first discussed by Jeremy Bentham and succinctly defined in the above graphic. A classic dichotomy in Utilitarianism is encapsulated in the Star Trek character of Mr. Spock, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the One,” to which Captain Kirk demonstrated, “The needs of the One may outweigh the needs of the many.” As a Christian, which position would you believe to be correct?

As a Christian I am grateful to the revival of the true Gospel which is called the Reformation. Yet, it was an unintentional consequence of wanting a discussion of differences between Roman Catholic Church (RCC) and biblical hermeneutical interpretation by individuals rather than by the monolithic RCC via the Pope. The Reformation brought hope but it also entailed several hundred years of unrelenting and merciless wars across Europe. Violence that extends down to today’s political climate in America and across Europe; a climate of unrelenting hostility against those who think differently.
